Neuro Linguistic Programming Master Practitioner -
NLP is intended to help you understand your mind, how you came to think and behave the way you do, and to learn to manage your moods and emotions. Reprograming the way you process information leads to more acceptable and successful behavior. NLP has been used to treat fears and phobias, anxiety, poor self-esteem, stress, post-traumatic stress disorders, and overall reduced quality of life due to psychological issues
Breathwork -
Breathwork is an active meditation technique that uses the breath to purge the body and nervous system of emotional debris. The experience moves emotional energy and facilitates the release of emotions like anger and sadness. It can help you find a home in your body and your heart, and help you learn to trust yourself. It leaves you feeling softer, more open, and less burdened and is a useful tool for releasing trauma.
Brainspotting-
Brainspotting uses a combination of targeted mindfulness and meditation along with points in the visual field to help access trauma, anxiety, depression, and pain in order to facilitate retraining our emotional responses. It can be used for PTSD, addiction, nightmares, chronic pain, creative expansion, and blocks, OCD, phobias and much more. For additional information:
Shamanic Bodywork -
Shamanism is the ability to connect to other realms, ancestral guides, and the unseen world. As a facilitator of healing, I work with clients to allow their healing energy to come through, acting as a conduit for what is waiting from the unseen and unknown planes of existence. Some of the tools include:
Movement and Expressive Therapy - (a particularly effective resource in empowering people with histories of abuse)
Reframing Traumatic Experience - (an approach that can create a different way of perceiving painful experiences and changes the way they live in you)
Awakening awareness of the sensory system (a technique that runs through all of the work I do, as I believe the body holds the answers to our well being)
Parts Work -
All of us have different aspects or "parts" to our personalities. Our degree of suffering is about the degree of harmony or lack thereof within these internal parts. Within parts work therapy, you achieve trauma resolution by recognizing disowned parts and giving these parts a voice. The goal is to help you develop an embodied sense of self that can compassionately hold your emotions, vulnerable sensations, and young parts of self.
Polyvagal Theory -
Using the Polyvagal Theory in a therapeutic practice allows me to help you re-pattern your nervous system, build capacities for regulation and create autonomic pathways for safety, connection and healing. We will work together to understand your autonomic response patterns and what mobilizes you versus collapses your ability for connection and well being.
Certified Trauma Professional -
I am certified to treat traumatic stress, including PTSD and anxiety disorders. If you are seeking help with recovering from trauma, we can work together to create a customized treatment plan that addresses your unique situation, sequencing professional interventions to maximize the outcomes you are seeking.
